Each season, beautiful landscapes unfold in front of you like a postcard.

Spring is the time of year when the snow melts and beautiful plants and trees begin to leaf out.
The cherry blossoms start to bloom a little later than in the cities, rice planting begins, and the contrast between the lingering snow of the North Alps and the flowers in the villages becomes all so beautiful.
It is also the season of delicious wild mountain vegetables.

Summer is the time for beautiful deep greenery, soothing smell of fresh grass, and glorious starry sky.
In the summer of Hakuba when the rivers and lakes are filled with melting snow and rain, people start to enjoy water activities. The sound of cicadas will surround you during the day, and when the night comes, you can enjoy watching fireflies and frogs singing in chorus.





When autumn comes, the temperature drops in the mornings and evenings, and the beautiful autumn leaves will spread everywhere around Hakuba.
Autumn is the best season for hiking while enjoying the color gradation of the mountains.
It is also the season of harvest. Soba noodles, chestnuts, and other autumn fruits are at their best.
There’s nothing like hiking while admiring the beautiful scenery and taking a break with fresh fruits for snack.



Winter is the time of year when the mountain ridges are covered with snow, and we are surrounded by a winter wonderland.
It is a lively season when Hakuba becomes an exotic place with crowds of people visiting from all over the world to enjoy skiing and snowboarding. In addition to winter sports, looking for animal tracks on the snow, embracing the clear air and looking up at the starry sky are just a few of the many things you can enjoy in this season.
