By Bullet Train + Bus

- Approximately 2 hours 40 minutes

Take Hokuriku Shinkansen (Bullet Train) from Tokyo Station to Nagano Station, and then transfer to highway buses run to Hakuba Station

By Train

- Approximately 3 hours 30 minutes

Take Limited Express Azusa from Shinjuku Station : 

  • Direct service to Hakuba (limited seasonal trains).

  • Transfer at Matsumoto: Take Azusa to Matsumoto (around 2.5 hours), then transfer to the JR Oito Line to Hakuba (about 1 hour).

By Bus

- Approximately 5 hours

Take highway bus from Shinjuku Station :

By Car

- Approximately 4 hours

Driving from Tokyo takes about 4 hours via the Kan-Etsu and Joshin-Etsu Expressways. In winter, please make sure your car is equipped with snow tires and 4WD.

From Narita Airport

By Train

  • Take the JR Narita Express to Tokyo/Shinjuku Station.
  • Take the Skyliner to Nippori Station, and then transfer to the JR Yamanote line to Tokyo/Shinjuku Station.

By Bus

From Haneda Airport

By Train

  • Take the Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsuchō Station, and then transfer to the JR Line to Tokyo/Shinjuku Station.
  • Take the JR Keikyu Line to Shinagawa Station, and then transfer to the JR Line to Tokyo/Shinjuku Station.

By Bus

From Osaka/Kyoto

By Bullet Train + Local Train

- Approximately 5 hours

Take Tokaido Shinkansen (Bullet Train) from Shin-Osaka/Kyoto Station to Nagoya Station, and then transfer to the Limited Express Shinano to Matsumoto. From Matsumoto, take the JR Oito Line to Hakuba.

By Bus

- Approximately 5 hours (Winter Only)

Take Alpico Bus from Osaka/Kyoto Station to Happo Bus terminal. *Operation haven’t finalized yet for winter season

By Car

- Approximately 5-6 hours

Driving from Osaka/Kyoto takes about 6 hours via the Meishin Expressway and Chuo Expressways. In winter, please make sure your car is equipped with snow tires and 4WD.
